Obstacles to the Detox of the adrenal fatigue diet

There are 4 main obstacles to your adrenal fatigue treatment:

Absorption.    Many people’s colon is so congested that they don’t absorb much of the nutrients they eat and so the same thing can happen with any herbs taken. There’s a good chance you will not absorb the herbs fully and they’ll just go straight through you! I’m trying to suggest you sort this out before you jump into a very heavy protocol of herbs. I’m sure you’d want to make sure you actually absorb the herbs you buy. For this reason the Fab Four contains a stomach & bowels formula to start to clear away old debris stuck to the surface of your intestines, allowing better absorption. It comes in 5 different strengths, Tonic #1 is for loose stools and those who have 3 or more movements a day; Tonic #2 is for those who have one bowel movement a day, or someone who misses a day once in awhile; Tonic #3 is for someone whose bowels move every other day to every 3rd day; Tonic #4 is for someone whose bowels move every third day or so; Tonic #5 is for someone whose bowels are not moving much at all and needs a big boost to get going. (which is of an adrenal fatigue diet, with herbs, restoring adrenal gland hormones)

After taking this Stomach & Bowels Formula for at least two weeks, I highly recommend the G.I. Broom. This product is absolutely amazing! You can check out the reviews on this one product alone! It works at the blockages just behind your intestinal wall, through the other side of it, pulling out old toxins. For many, it has had results compared to what would come out on a 2 month mono grape fast, but instead it’s been known to bring those same results after just 1 week. This is my favourite product so far! I tried to find cheaper versions and even making it up myself with the ingredients, but it didn’t make much difference in the price. And this capsule form is much easier to take down than the original powder form, which is quite nasty to say the least. You should take the G.I. Broom at least after 2 weeks of taking the Stomach & Bowels formula, though. Second obstacle to adrenal fatigue treatment:

Cravings.         Did you know that most cravings come from the presence of worms or parasites! It’s been estimated that 80-90% of humankind is unknowingly infected with parasites, affecting energy, vitality, cravings, illnesses etc. I was relieved and astounded at seeing those things out of me, floating dead in my toilet and I have certainly found a gradual reduction in my cravings! The two parasite formulas will get rid of these things. Each formula targets different types. It’s suggested to get through 1 or 2 bottles for complete elimination. After that, a healthy diet will enable your strong body to get rid of them itself. Dr Morse says that everyone should first de-worm themselves, and I completely whole heartedly agree. Third obstacle to adrenal fatigue treatment:

Kidney filtration        – can be optimised through the particular herbs found in the kidney formula in the Fab Four. It is vital to your health to get your kidneys filtering. You want to ensure your kidneys are filtering before you go very deep into getting your lymphatic system moving. Remember, all your cellular waste gets taken to your kidneys by your lymphatic system. Without kidney filtration, toxins just get re-circulated around your body. We have 2 kidneys plus our skin. The skin is a huge organ which sweats to eliminate waste so is often referred to as your 3rd kidney. Saunas and long hot baths will assist the waste elimination process, taking some pressure off the hard working kidneys, especially as they will have a lot to do while you are detoxing so much old accumulated waste. The waste from all your body’s cells will want to exit the body through your kidneys. But if your kidneys are not filtering properly, your toxins will just circulate your body and get re-absorbed. So all that hard work on clean eating will not be effective unless your kidneys are ready to take on all that. So, it must be a priority to get your kidneys filtering. Fourth obstacle to adrenal fatigue treatment:

Changing your diet. Changing your diet is obviously different from popping a few pills. It involves making new habits in your life and this is not easy. Breaking the old habits is what we find scary. This is because the bad habits do serve a purpose for us, we get some sort of pay-off … that may even be sub-conscious. If you think this part of the process will be difficult for you, there’s several suggestions I can offer. Take baby steps – small manageable steps you are happy and comfortable with. You will stumble at times, don’t take this so seriously. Schedule a few minutes each day where you meditate on your successes and positive ideas. It took me 2 years of baby steps to get to a high fruit diet, others take weeks, some can do it straight away. Just remember, that any other food that is not fruit will slow down the detoxification process, including bananas as they do not have high water content. You can still benefit from the increase in live foods and you can take the herbs at whatever stage you are at. The herbs will always help you. But the fastest way to get to complete detoxification is 100% fruit, with the herbs. Fruit is the adrenal fatigue diet. Much more on food habits in the future… The biggest, simplest, most difficult task is to actually change the way you eat and apply what you know. We all need serious help on this one! Detox symptoms to the Adrenal Fatigue Diet

Unfortunately, you will get detox symptoms on your journey of adrenal fatigue treatment. The more ill you are, the worse the detox will be for you. It may not be all bad, of course, and you must remember it won’t last forever. There are so so many possible detox symptoms, I’ll have to write about that another time. In the meantime, google it, and if you get worried and you’re really suffering on your detox, you can drop me an email. People often assume that any discomfort on a detox is a sign it’s bad for you! I just cannot understand why people are so much more accommodating to the side effects of traditional medical treatment which are actually destroying people’s health in the long run. Look at the huge list of terrible side effects of any pharmaceutical medication that people are willing to put up with. And after considering all that, please note that all these medications are being made to suppress the body’s natural healing reaction to illness. For example, do you know why the body would produce a fever? The body is so clever. It produces these “symptoms”  that are the most efficient way to deal with the underlying problem. A fever is just the body increasing its’ temperature to cure itself. And the medical doctors try to stop this natural process by reducing the fever and they don’t realise they are inhibiting the curing process. A fever would never kill you. A fever is the body cleaning itself. When the body has done its job, the fever passes, if it’s given the right conditions. The fever is not the underlying problem, it’s a reaction to another underlying problem that needs to be investigated. And so it goes with many other symptoms, as well as detox symptoms. Unfortunately, it’s just something you have to go through, but it is temporary and you’ll come out the other end so much stronger and so will your adrenals! 😉  (adrenal fatigue diet is a fruit diet, that willl slowly eliminate

Once you are fully detoxed (and thus your adrenal fatigue treatment is complete!), you don’t need to stay on this fruit diet if you don’t want to. But you may be surprised that you will probably feel like you want to stay on a lot more live foods since you will have gone on quite a journey and your taste buds will have changed. But, after you are cured, it’s okay if you want to include some other foods. Also, if you want to detox more slowly because you are having such strong symptoms to your toxins releasing, it’s okay to slow down your detox with one daily meal of salad, for example. But be careful not to have too heavy foods that will just stop your detox. (And yes you can check if you are detoxing or not). You’ll have to trial what works best for you. Remember you want to get your lymphatic system moving and cleansing your cells, so keep your diet high water content. Saying that, others have chosen to do 2 fruit meals and eat whatever they want for a third meal. It’s really up to you and what you can cope with emotionally, too. But JUST START your adrenal fatigue treatment immediately through your diet, via baby steps. And always keep close in mind that this fruit diet will gradually (or quickly) eliminate your constant fatigue, cure your adrenal gland disorders, without the need for unnatural adrenal fatigue supplements. Do’s & Dont’s for Adrenal Support

Things you can do to support your protocol of adrenal fatigue treatment:

Practicing a relaxing form of exercise is very supportive. Walk everyday.

Do Your Best to Eliminate Stress. Try daily yoga, and meditation, even just 5 mins daily.

Reducing contact with negative people in your life.

Deep, controlled breathing has wonderfully positive effects on your adrenals. It’s also said to increase life span.

Sleep more. Even if you don’t feel sleepy, turn off all electronics and close your eyes in a dark room by 10 pm. Even if you don’t fall asleep and stay asleep, you are getting 80% of the benefits of sleep, WOW! (I will find the reference of this and link it here).

Sleep until 9 a.m. as often as possible.

Lying down during your work breaks.

Laughing.

Eating regular meals.

Chewing well.

Doing something you find fun each day.

Avoiding junk food.

Licorice herb.

Parsley.

Coriander.

Dandelion tea.

Make time for simple rest each day. Rejuvenating rest is the best; things like stretching, napping, visualization exercises, guided relaxation tapes, hugging, laughing, holding a pet, playing with a child.

Remove any hard-to-digest foods. What activity, do you think, requires the most energy of your body? Any ideas? Excerise? Sex? Believe it or not, it’s digestion! So, by using less energy for hard to digest food, that energy becomes available for natural healing.

Remove refined sugar and sweeteners.

Remove processed food.

 

NOOOOOO! I don’t recommend you do these things:

I’ve seen so much crap on the internet that I really wanted to mention some of it! The following are all suggestions I actually found on the net as recommendations for supporting your adrenals, but they are so unbelievably hurtful to your adrenals. These should not be part of any adrenal fatigue treatment:

Please don’t do this: Saying ‘yes’ to a low carb diet. This can stress the body even more, worsening adrenal burnout – And you thought your constant fatigue couldn’t get any worse, hey ….?  (Try it if you really want but I did warn you!)

Please don’t do this: Consume more healthy fats; coconut oil, ghee, olives, olive oil, butter. It’s said to lower belly fat (which indicates adrenal fatigue). Yes, this will somewhat reduce belly fat, if I’m honest. But please don’t waste your time with this. I wasted a year on this one. It has some good effects for a while, but it doesn’t fix it. And in the long term it does more damage rather than support adrenals.

Please don’t do this: Eat at least 40 grams of protein in the morning. No! It’s hard to digest. It’s wastes valuable energy and also work your adrenal glands hard. There are just so many things wrong with this! I would love to take the opportunity to really explain this in detail, hopefully in the future…

Please don’t do this: using fancy recipes for supposedly restoring adrenal gland disorders, including fried chicken, muffins, lots of meat, dairy, bread. No!

Please don’t do this: taking adrenal fatigue supplements of vitamins and minerals, vitamin C, vitamin E, B-complex, Calcium, Magnesium, any of the “high quality adrenal gland supplements”. Simply treating the symptoms of possible deficiencies like this is simply prolonging the problem. It’s not going to the root cause (which is lymphatic blockage in your body). And most supplements are man-made chemicals, they’re not naturally found. You just need to give your adrenals and your body the right environment to make its’ own goodies.

Please don’t do this: synthetic cortisol, hormone replacement!!! Don’t mess around with the delicate adrenal gland hormone system, of which your adrenals are a part of. Not only is it impossible to know exactly what effect something will have on you personally, (unless you do muscle tests), but these treatments are so evasive and unnatural and aggressive. Your body can restore the balances of any deficiencies itself, it just needs a chance to heal with the right conditions. Give the body the right environment and it will fix itself, without the need for supplementing with artificial hormones and unnatural vitamins. Errrrr! It makes my stomach turn.

Please don’t do this: strenuous exercise like running! It’s really hard on the adrenal glands. I tried this, with unexpected results, see ‘About Me’ page.

Please don’t do this: hydration by drinking more water. Hydration cannot be achieved effectively through drinking water, believe it or not! Yes, you should definitely drink when you feel thirsty, but who in the world came up with the 2-3 litre a day rule!?!? The best way to hydrate your cells is through high water content fruit, where the water in food penetrates much deeper. And drinking too much water puts strain on your kidneys (which are already delicate if you have weak adrenals). Drinking too much water can dilute essential electrolytes. How much water should you drink? Listen to your body. Follow the signals.

Symptoms of Adrenal Fatigue

There is so much explanation on the internet about chronic adrenal fatigue symptoms, what is adrenal fatigue, adrenal fatigue tests, and how the adrenals work, so I won’t go into too much detail here.

A little explanation on the adrenals… The adrenals are part of the endocrine system. Adrenal weakness encompasses different systems, so it will affect the nervous system, the endocrine system, the digestive system, and reproductive systems. The adrenal glands sit just over the kidneys, and play huge differing roles in the body, secreting over 50 hormones! Your adrenal gland hormones are so so vital. The common adrenal fatigue supplements don’t support these delicate glands in the long run. But a permanent adrenal fatigue treatment will be posted on this site.

More progressive stages of adrenal gland disorders will have more of the following symptoms of adrenal fatigue than less chronic cases:

 

Tiredness

Body aches

Irritability

Dependence on coffee, need for stimulants

Low sex drive

Blood sugar problems or digestive problems

Reduced memory or ability to concentrate

Dizziness when standing up too quickly

Thyroid problems

Food cravings- especially salt and sugar

Increased PMS or menopausal symptoms

Mild depression

Anxiety.

Decreased ability to handle stress

High stress levels or always feeling like there is too much to do

Frequent sighing

Inability to handle foods high in potassium or carbohydrates unless they’re combined with fats and protein

So, this is a pretty long list but if you suffer from many of these, it’s likely you have adrenal fatigue, especially since Dr Morse says 80% of the world’s population has it. Now, you just need to focus on the treatment for adrenal fatigue.

 

Adrenal Fatigue Test

Diagnosis from a single test or symptom is not possible. Doctors and naturopaths look at a range of tests and symptoms. May require several visits to the doctor. Many go undiagnosed. A woman went to 37 doctors before finally receiving proper diagnosis. Medical doctors are only taught to look for extreme adrenal malfunction (Addison’s Disease or Cushing’s Syndrome). The reality is, as Dr Morse says, that most of humankind, especially in the western world have severe adrenal weakness. It’s safe to assume we all have adrenal weakness, in this day and age.

If you are not sure whether you have adrenal fatigue, adopting an adrenal fatigue diet and lifestyle as outlined on this site won’t hurt you even if you don’t think you have adrenal fatigue. Your symptoms are real and you want to get better, that’s what matters. In my next post you’ll find out the protocol to treat your health for good, whether you have adrenal weakness or not. There is only one effective way to heal all illness.

Here are some home tests anyway:

The Pupil Contraction Test. Look into a mirror and shine a flashlight into the pupil of one eye for 30 secs. It should contract. If after 30 seconds, it stays the same or, even worse, dilates, you most likely have adrenal fatigue.

Blood Pressure test. Take your blood pressure while sitting down. Then, stand up and immediately take your blood pressure again. Your systolic number (1st number) should have raised 8 to 10 mm. If it dropped, you probably have adrenal fatigue.

Some other tests: Saliva cortisol testing, Thyroid blood tests can also show up adrenal weakness because it’s all part of the endocrine system.

 

What’s the cause of Adrenal Fatigue?

I have read so many silly suggestions as to the causes of Adrenal Fatigue. The cause is not sleep deprivation, single parenting, sudden life changes, loss of job, moving home, emotional trauma, college life, all work/ little play, perfectionist mentality. However, I have no doubt that these things exasberate the problem, definitely! But the real cause is so unknown to many people that they make up these lists of side issues because they don’t know what’s actually going on. Why is it important to understand the cause? Because we must stop treating the symptoms and start treating the root cause. The actual cause is discussed in the next post, which will show up above this post. The brief answer is this: the lymphatic sewage system is backed up from poor diet and extreme stress. Now, stress is normal and your body can cope with it to some extent, BUT if you have a poor diet, toxins will eventually back up. Take the example of lactic acid being produced when you use your muscles; it’s a normal process and your body can safely eliminate the production of acid IF the sewage system is allowed to flow freely. Your body can cope with high levels of stress very effectively but we need to provide the right environment, i.e. a good diet of high water content food for self-cleansing. That’s it, that’s all we need. And trust me, if you dare to try it, you will feel on top of the world! I could never have imagined how good I would feel. It’s an existence of energy I have never experienced in my life, not even when I was a child. (Now, we can delve into the reasons why someone has a poor diet in the first place, often emotional factors which make it difficult to change habits, and this is a process in itself which I offer help with). I’m excited for you … though I know I don’t know you personally and I can understand how this may sound a bit fake to say, but I do actually feel excited for anyone who reads this and decides to apply it; they may have their life turned around and experience unimaginable vitality. So, I really do mean that I am excited for you, especially if you have bothered to read this far, yes! Go for it! I wish I had this info years ago. I leave you with one task you can do right now: For 3 days, have fruit-only mornings. You can have as much fruit as you want but nothing else. Just see how you feel. Safe journey…

Adrenal gland disorders are so so common! As a human species, we seem to be getting more and more unhealthy, with bad diets and stress, toxifying our bodies and leading to illness. Adrenal fatigue treatment is very very simple. But that doesn’t mean it’s easy! The simple solution I found is widely known now, but not by most.
